Newburgh artist, Anthony DiBenedetto was born October 18, 1923 in Washingtonville, NY. After graduating High School in 1941 he attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. In his second year at Pratt, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served for three years until the end of Word War II.
He returned to Pratt and graduated in 1952 with a BFA degree in Interior Design. In 1956, as a civilian Engineer Tech with the US Air Force, he worked at the joint Spanish/US air base near Madrid Spain, where he resided for 36 years until his return to the US in 1992. He has resided in Newburgh since then.
This is the very first time Anthony DiBenedetto has showcased his work in an exhibit. The works represented are all recent, having been created within the past year.
